Collecting Should Be Fun
Why Not Collect Your Favourite Pokémon (or Artist) Instead of Full Sets?
Many new collectors think they have to complete full sets — but that’s not the only way (or the most fun way) to collect.
Collect What You Love
Instead of chasing hundreds of cards, try:
One Pokémon (Charizard, Gengar, Pikachu, Eevee, etc.)
A favourite artist’s artwork
One card type (EX, GX, VMAX, Illustration Rares)
This keeps collecting exciting and personal.
It’s Easier (and Cheaper)
Full sets can be:
Expensive
Time-consuming
Frustrating to finish
Focused collections grow faster and feel more rewarding.
Builds a Strong Display
A binder full of the same Pokémon or art style:
Looks incredible
Tells a story
Is easier to show at trade days
Many serious collectors started with one favourite Pokémon and never looked back.
There’s No “Right Way” to Collect
Whether you’re 8 or 38:
Collect for fun
Collect for nostalgia
Collect for art
Collect for trading
If it makes you smile when you open the binder — you’re doing it right
